The Griot. The Association of Black Sociologists publishes a quarterly newsletter. The newsletter contains information of particular interest our membership. Though membership news and graduate student spotlights tend to be our more popular sections, we are proud to also include information on upcoming conferences as well as national issues of import to African American scholars. A calendar for submissions is below.

Membership News. Information for "Membership News" is always appreciated. If you know of anyone in ABS (including yourself) who has been promoted, switched jobs, retired, recently got their Ph.D., had a baby, got married, had a book come out, was interviewed on the news, or whatever; please forward that information to our Newsletter Editor.

Please include their name and the name of their institution. There is no such thing as too many submissions. If you're not sure if something is appropriate, send it; and the editor will decide. The information will be published based upon the due date when it is received.
